Can't Live With Out It!

The Transatlatins Ft. India - I Can't Live Without Music (Jessie Garcia)

Back on November 2008 Floor Shaker delivered to you the (ND Mix Edit) of this track. Now do yourself an audio a favor and check out one of my favorites... Jessie Garcia. Jessie gives us a darker, tough, progressive sound with a tiny little electro edge. If I were still strapping on my dancing shoes and hitting the hardwoods, I would be working it out to this one.

Mysterious Dark Lord of Tribal

Today we discuss an apparition in the world of tribal. *ESCOBAR* Here we have a producer that has multiple original productions released on many high profile tribal labels, a slew of remixes to his credit, appears to be part owner of a label (SOUTHOUSE) and yet not one iota of information about him seems 2xist on the web or any other resource that I can find.

Now I have tried let me tell you. I have gone as far as emailing Brett Henrichsen (no response, what a surprise, perhaps he was too busy prerecording his next *live* set), Sandy Resek said "Hello, He doesn't have a myspace page but see www.southousemusic.com" (Thanks Sandy!), DJW said "Well, first of all....I love his remix of my song, "Ride On Me." I don't know much about him. My label handled the A+R on my track. I think this might be his e-mail ********" (Gracias DJ W, P.S. you rock), and my boys over at exModia said "This guy's unclockable. We know. We're gonna hafta ask around the deejay pools and see who can get us a link."

So I leave it to you Floor Shaker followers. Please educate me. Who is this Dark Lord of Tribal, ESCOBAR, that appears to hail from Chile?

May Not Be Smart, But I Aint...

Deborah Cox - Stupid Like U (E-Thunder 2009 Vocal Mix)

It was hard not to like this song a few years back when Miss Cox released it upon us. Who hasn't had people in their past that they feel betrayed by and now feel are bit retarded. (No offense to the retards) This is a high energy version and leans more to progressive than E-Thunders typical style but the drums are there.

SCAT

Uptown Funk Empire - You've Got to Have Freedom (Patchworks Remix)

Get your mind out of the gutter! We are taking about the classic jazz imrov vocal style which is what makes this track so fine.

Return to Funk

Francesco Diaz - Say a Little Prayer (Raul Rincon Peaktime)

Lets just say I'm feeling the funk this AM. Here is great male vocal remake of Miss Franklin. Rincon slams it down with the funky soulful house version. Superb vocal edits!

Save The Day

Coco Star - I Need A Miracle 2009 (6th Street Players Mix)

Originally released back in 1997 on Positiva this is one of those vocal tracks that just never gets old. Looking at my original copy I see that I paid an astounding $11.99 for it. (Thank God for the Internet) The 6th Street Players give it a nice funky house 2009 update.

Praise

M. Rodriguez - God's Love (Original Mix)

A strangely catchy progressive and tribal track. Like many others it has a male voice speaking rather than truly being in song. This voice though, is, well to quote Kim Cooper "unique".

Ghost of Tenaglia Past

Edson Pride - Move It (Karmin Mika U Have 2 Move Mix)

Dark progressive house that shouts out to Danny in huge way! Pride & Mika hit a nightclub home run with this one. Check out my review and download Edson's (Original Tribe Mix) on exModia.

Bang On

DJ Dextro - Resonance (Original Mix)

Well done tribal and progressive track. A late, late, late night sound with a slow subtle build in energy from start to end.

Angels Sing

Made By Monkeys - I Think of You (Gabriel Robella Vocal)

Seriously enchanting and intense. Another great track by M.B.M. I've heard it referred to as trance and I say nae. It's progressive in my book. Just because a track has ethereal vocals doesn't make it trance.

This link was removed at the request of KULT rcords. "
can u please stop sharing I THINK OF YOU by MADE BY MONKEYS?? You have no permission and we wish for you to stop." It should be noted the link was not hosted by Floor Shaker only pointed to by Floor Shaker.

Just Jazz

Amir - Jazz Loops (Original Mix)

Smooth, deep house, with big time jazz loops. Surprised? Good stuff. Amir serves it chilled and garnishes with vibe.

You You You & Not You!

Cytric - Filthy Beats (Original Mix)

This one is for hard core dark progressive fans. Listening to this track is like hitting the NY underground around 4:30 AM. Think Calerone, TKC, Richie Santana, and of course Mr. Peter Bailey. Hum now that I think about it none of these guys are "underground" anymore. Maybe it's NY mainstream and underground for the rest of us.

Squeez Box

Miklov - Bulgaria (Stereo Palma Remix)

Odd, Curious, Cute and Fun. Big drums, not what I expected from Palma and I like this one better than the E-Thunder.

In The Deep End

Lewis Ferrier Ft. Mavis Acquah - Love Is On The Way (Dutchican Soul Deeper Dub)

A sensational, sexy, vocal house dub with big time jazz and soul influence. I have discussed this sort of track before. You will only hear this kind of track at the hippest of underground venues, as to appreciate this is to be educated about the heritage of all house music or perhaps even music in general. Sadly in world of mass consumption great stuff like this gets pushed to the side. If Brittany, Cher, and Hannah Montana are your thing you will probably want to pass on this one.

However, if you have ever found yourself cleaning house on a lazy Sunday afternoon with the likes of Miles Davis, Billie Holiday, or Charlie Bird Parker playing in the background, then you just found a 2009 sound of that same nature.

Soul On Fire

Stuart Ft Maxine - Fuel To Fire (Tomer G Drag Version)

A high energy, vocal, circuit track with a dramatic ending. The boys will love this track for it's campy whip sounds, and the lyrics about desire.

The Underground Vibration

Copyright Ft. Jazzie B - Roots (Claude Monnet Main Mix)

Deep in nature, dark in delivery, and tribal at it's core, this track can actually be played in a deep house or tribal set. It is not your typical tribal track though. It has that Copyright magic all over it. There are many sampled sounds from the past which is where, I assume, the name Roots derived. This track reminds me of Tenaglia.
