A touch of tribal, seasoned with a hint of electro, and uplifting lyrics combined with classic circuit synths. I dig it but I was hoping for a bit more thunder from Acosta.

Ellektra vs Marvin Gaye - I Heard It Through The Grapevine 2009 (Ellektrafied Full Vocal)

There are so many old soul songs that get rehashed into dance tracks with a lame breakdown in the middle which leads to a sample of the original track then a swoosh and back to the beat without really creating something new of the original track. Well this is not one of those. This is a full on audio assault with Marvin Gaye's vocals leading the charge! To take such an iconic song and so masterfully create a true dance track out of it as is done here is rare. This falls under the ATFC - Papa Was a Rolling Stone category of exceptional.

Funk Soldiers and In 2 Deep Ft. Jelone - Did You Ever (Sandy Rivera Vocal Mix)

In keeping with the house theme this AM. I give you Sandy Rivera. I first heard Sandy back in 2000 with one of my favorite tracks Young Hearts, I was a late Rivera bloomer, and I have been "hooked" ever since. This track is a an interesting contrast of a dark nature and soulful vibe. It's remarkable actually, a track that grows on you versus attacking you instantly, but that's because it's so smart, intelligent, and well crafted.

Sandy's tracks are not for everyone but if you watch and listen you will notice the people who claim to know everything about house are not so into him and people who do know a lot about house are.

Junior Vasquez Ft. Maxi J - Insecurities

My money is on the R&G Anthem. It's everything we have come to love from these two when they collaborate. Joe Carrano's Big House Mix sounds more like tribal than house to me but what do I know. Then we have Grandpa's Mix which sounds like Junior dropped a big ole tab of electro before he went into the studio. Honorable mention goes out the Fumi Kondoh Mix which is not posted here but can be found lurking about the web.

The drum reminds me of rolling/marching nature of The Timelords/The KLF Doctorin' the Tardis (1991). Anyway, the track is fun but lacks the big room energy I would expect from the three people denoted in the title.

Inland Knights - It's On Tonight

Inland Knights, aka Laurence Richie & Andy Riley, are considered Titans of the house music scene by DJ's. Never typical, always cool, and often exceptional. I've yet to hear a track I didn't like produced by this duo. More of a proper house sound with a touch of tech & soul. If my typical tribal post are what you are looking for this is not your track. If your looking for something different, edgy, and little more chillaxed then hit it.
