Lets Have Some Fun This Beat is Sick

Lady Gaga - Love Game (DJ Jickler Tribal Club Mix)

Disclamer: I am NOT a fan of Lady Gaga at all.

Pop music fans will dig this tribal/circuit flavored version of Love Game sent us directly from DJ Jickler. Personally The Gaga makes me Gag Gag but if I were forced to play pop by some swishy queen that wasn't going to leave me alone till I did, "Play Lady Play Lady", I'd rather play a drummed out version like this than anything else. It's not that Lady Gaga sucks per say, it's just a personal preference. It's a VERY RARE pop song that gets my adoration. Most recently I must confess Beyonce worked me with with Single Ladies. Yeah go ahead try to tell me you didn't like it.

Anywho back to Jickler who is one to keep an eye or in this case ear on. I predict bigger and better things to come from this guy.

Here Comes The Drum

Jamie J Sanchez - Dirty Beats (Original Mix)

What would you get if you put Celeda's - Underground, Danny Tenaglia's - Elements, DJ Paulo's Clean It Up, Oscar G & Ralph Falcon's - The Dark Beat all in a blender with splash of white girl? Check out Jamie J's Dirty Beats and see. Although I like this version, I'm super curious to see who will remix it and what they will bring to this track.

Break the Ghetto

Clubzound - The Guetto (Original Mix)

I'm not sure how this came to be labeled an "original" mix. I have both the tracks used in this "original" independently of each other and if my memory is correct neither was produced by Clubzound but whatev call it what you like. This has been some what of a theme of the Clubzound sound. Stellar tracks from the past updated or mashed. This offering gives us tribal drums with an old school sample laid over it. Be warned once you play it for em their going to request it relentlessly.

Bump'n Horns

Balearic Soul - Ole (Dub)

We've been beating a lot of drums here of late. I thought I point ya in the direction a super fun little house dub I ran across. If you were so inclined, you could lay some bang'n drums down over this and take it to another level or you can plays as is for a very cool vibe.

Short & Sweet

Tanja Monies - Love Sex Music (Original Tribal)

A sassy little vocal tribal ditty to get your weekend started. Bang'n drums & a naughty little potty mouth combine and beg you to free yourself.

Well All Right

Pepper Mashay - Dive In the Pool (Luis Erre Dark Tribe Unreleased)

Not sure how this one got by me. It's better than most of the recent remixes I have heard of this gay bar classic. Get your bottled water ready!

You You & You, No Not You, Can You Move

Jose Spinnin - The Freaks (Caramelitos Mix)

Fierce Latin Progressive House. This track exudes all that is the big-room nightclub sound. Delicious! Your floor will be hot for this, make no mistake about it.

DARK BEATZ

Doped Again - Dance Now (Tamer Fouda)

Intensely Dark! Wicked Fun! Not for the faint of heart.

VIP = C.P.R.

Ralphi Rosario Ft. Shawn Christopher - Everybody Shake It (DJ Paulo LA2RIO)

Not much to report here. Typical Paulo, Rosario, & Christopher equating to GOOD STUFF. I have liked every mix I have gotten of this track. Lots of great house versions including Rosario's Funky Vocal & Jay J's Shifted. Now lets talk about the acronym I created for these three.

Here We Go

Chris Special - Lose It (Original)

A nice tech oriented deep house track with some wicked horn action. It lends itself to the dark side and everyone knows the vocal sample.

Feeling SF

Heart of Space Vs. Alex Barattini - Lose Your Love (Amorhouse & Fennel Old School)

In honor of my impending visit to the great city of San Fransisco for Pride, I leave you with a little house number. San Fran has one of the most vibrant house music communities I have ever seen or heard. Although this track does not reflect a "Pride" message, it certainly reflects S.F. Happy Pride everybody! I'll be back in July.

You'll Find a Way

Ministers De La Funk Ft. Jocelyn Brown - Believe (Antoine Clamaran & Sandy Vee)

I so wanted to listen to this and be stunned, to think perhaps it was better than Junior's Marathon Mix but sadly, I did not. I was expecting more from Clamaran & Sandy Vee both of whom are typically heavy hitters in my book. This is a great example of why it's risky to tackle a track this stature and that has the history this one does. If you are going to do anything less than blow the world away with your mix, it comes across as mediocure.

In this versions defense, it starts out strong and the vocal track is introduced exceptionally well but that is where the magic ends. None the less it is always fun to drop an update of song like this. For me it's like looking across the room and seeing an old friend.

Get Addicted!

Stuttering Munx & Groove Junkies Ft. Indeya - Addicted to the Rise (Mo' Hump Mix)

Superb House! "Music is the universal language that lifts me" I am nothing if not addicted to the drum and bass lines of this track. Now don't get confused, it's NOT Drum & Bass this is house with the slightest deep essence. Excellent intro, nice build, good break, and subtle punch. Top notch production.
