It's Like Butter

Duck Sauce - Barbra Streisand (Original)

Awe Lawdy! Duck Sauce is back with another fun dance floor smack down. Disco in nature with an electro sensibility, this tracks simple verbal chant of Babs will have the queeny queens working. Really fun track.

And if doesn't, this delicious photo of Jake G surely will. I don't know if I have ever wanted to see a movie so badly.

GET IT

Dennis Ferrer - Hey Hey (Vandalism Mix)

Not at all like the original which is a classic but very good. Great energy, fusing elements of mainstream, electro and tribal, Vandalism scores big with this one.

Now Speaking of scoring, say hello to Sam.

Not Gonna Let You Get

Rino Cabrera - Best of Me (Original Club Mix)

Some what of an electro flavored progressive house track. Classic vocal edits (et) with a funky edge. Great message!

The Way I Am

The Naked Housewives - Stamina (Taito Mix)

It's been a while since I delivered any electro so here is a little bass driven electro romp. It's pretty cute with good vocals. Not the typical over effected vocals of traditional electro tracks.

Oops, Oh my, what have we here. Oh silly me why it's Madonna's own little naked housewife/DJ. Such a silly, pointless article about him. Really, I don't think there is anyone who was wondering why she was dating a 23 year old. Duh! Good for both of them. He gets her coat tails and she get some hot tail. It's called a symbiotic relationship.

Happy New Queer

Dani L Melius & Billy The Kilt - Work This Pussy (Original Mix)

You didn't think I was going to leave 2009 without delivering a gem to you, did you? Superb drums, way on the silly side but then again we are discussing Sweet Pussy Pauline. Although this track has had it's pussy worked over more times than I can count, this version sounds very Young Fresh & New. Trust, the dance floor will go BALLS for this track.

Blast From The Past

Billie Meyers - Wonderful (Barry Harris Acca-Triba-Lectro Mix)

Well well well, look who is back on the scene. Miss Harris teams back up with Miss Meyers for a little holiday romp in the audio hay. Billie's voice sounds great on the track but it does lack the energy you would usually associate with Barry. The transition from tribe to lectro is very fun though and I suspect your dance floor is going to love this track when it's properly placed in the set.

Bump & Dance

Celeda - The Underground (Jesse Garcia)

Well now, we really are discussing a nightlife classic when it comes to this dance floor crusher. Here we sit a decade later with new mixes by some of the industries best. Jesse gives us a progressive version with a bit of a funky flavor and subtle notes of electro. It was not what I expected from Garcia and I have to say I like it.

Celeda - The Underground (D-Unity Remix)

If you are looking for a darker more tribal version then you'll want to Let D-Unity lead you down.

Not posted here but worth checking out is the (Richard Grey Remix). Richard uses the best part of the original and adds new elements.

Nailing It!

Inaya Day - Got 2 Get Up (Mr. Timothy 2009 Mix)

If every time someone remixed a classic it came out this good the world of dance would be a much better place. This is an absolute must have. There seems to be a magic relationship between Mr. Timothy and the vocals of Inaya. Don't even get me started on the flawless mini scat. I almost came completely undone when I heard this track, it's just too hot for words.

Not Your Everyday Gay

Ellektra vs Marvin Gaye - I Heard It Through The Grapevine 2009 (Ellektrafied Full Vocal)

There are so many old soul songs that get rehashed into dance tracks with a lame breakdown in the middle which leads to a sample of the original track then a swoosh and back to the beat without really creating something new of the original track. Well this is not one of those. This is a full on audio assault with Marvin Gaye's vocals leading the charge! To take such an iconic song and so masterfully create a true dance track out of it as is done here is rare. This falls under the ATFC - Papa Was a Rolling Stone category of exceptional.

Something Wicked This Way Comes

Inaya Day, Leggz & Femi B - Take Me Up (Rulers of the Deep Remix)

This is a .rar file containing the Club, Leggz & Straightjacket Robinson, Jay Kay, & RULERS of the DEEP mixes. It is all about the super intense Rulers mix! Really a dub with some great vocal samples from Inaya. I have to say, it's really quite fantastic. I would call it dark thundering tech with a progressive edge and tribal essance.

The Leggz & Straightjacket Robinson has a more mainstream appeal, while the Jay Kay lends it'self to the proper house vein. The club is more in line with electro.

Everybody's Doin' It

Rudenko - Everybody (Club Mix)

Big fat chunky beats, an eastern-ish background vocal, and strong electro edge all combine with a vocal edit very similar to Camille Jones - The Creeps to create a slamming 11:30PM track. When you drop this record you will get the audiences attention for sure.

A Special Treat For Laptop DJ's

Hardy Hard, Mr. X, Lady Waks - Records Back 2009 (Electrixx Mix)

An awesome house track that utilizes a great lampoon of J.T.'s Sexy Back and slams the lap top DJ's out there. Now I am all for progress and there is no arguing that, with a lap top you have the ability to take things to whole new level. That having been said, my personal opinion is that a DJ should know how to beat match. If you have ever heard Knuckles (among others) you know there there is nothing like a vinyl DJ. So to my buddy who is opening for the likes of G&D and Tiesto, you know who you are, "Can I check my email before you start your mix?"

Aside from the fact the track is HILARIOUS, it freak'n rocks too.

Make Me Wet!

Re-Coded & CJ Andre - Scream My Name (Original Mix)

Dirty electro with a gritty grind! Your typical electro lyrics but the music is to die for.

Lets Dance Lets Shout

Jason Rooney - Shake Your Body [Down to the Ground] (Original)

This is the second iconic Michael Jackson sample that has made it onto my blog. Each time the drums break you get swirling synths then the drums slam back in. You can pull this track off in an electro or tribal set. Very fun track.

If I Were an Electro DJ... I'd Sound Like This

Super Mal - Rough Justice (Original)

Elements of Funk, Soul, House and Electro combine to create something I'd try very hard to work in my set. Great Track

You Can Put It In Your Mouth or Stick It In Your Ass

Hatiras & MC Flipside - Autograph (Original Dirty)

This is a really fun, funky electro house track with HILARIOUS lyrics. To listen is to take a trip back in time playing Atari.

Burnett & Cooper - Heat of You (DJ Fist Mix)

Hard electro flavored and tribal seasoned house with male vocals.

Electro Rewind

Thomas Gold & Menck - Everybody Be Somebody (Hy2rogen & Nikola Mix)

1995, such a good time for House Music. This electro rework of Ruffneck Ft. Yavahn is nice trip down memory lane. The youngsters on your floor will dig it.

Now Let Me See You Work

Way crazy elctro-ish track. This IS dirty dirty house music.

Taste The Rainbow

Hommer - Formula 51

Really fun track. If I'm not mistaken "they" use Obama's voice and another person who sounds similar to Obama to make a statement. Also used, is the now iconic sax loop Alex Gaudino took global. That loop much like, lets say the Synth loop from Sandy B - Make the World Go Round, is just so powerful. It ALWAYS seems to resonate with any crowd. If you are into the Obama thing, as I am, you should also check out a very cool and uplifting track released this past spring... House Music United - Yes We Can (Original)
